Alt key doesn't work for me under linux. I am pressing alt key (once) and part that I am holding is on green node and it is highlighted on green, but after I left click part is gone.

What are you trying to do? If you are trying to disable surface attach and force an attach by node, then both the part you are attaching and the part you are attaching to must have nodes. Also, to do this you have to hold down the "modifier" key. On linux this defaults to the right shift key not the alt key...
