The Defiant-Type Turret

In KSP weapons mods gone by, most noticeably the venerable BDArmoury, there are gun turrets. These turrets usually are just guns that move. And that's okay, that makes them simple. However when you look at real world aircraft, these turrets are almost always manned, glass compartments on the top, bottom or front and back of the plane. One of my favourite WWII fighters, the rather obscure Boulton Paul Defiant, is a weird example of a conventional single engined fighter, but with one of those turrets strapped to the back.

Personally I find it rather complicated to make this sort of thing from scratch so my request is for someone to make a radially attached version of the defiant's gun turret. But to make it manned as well, possibly with an IVA.

That would make me very happy as currently I am trying to construct a defiant. This would also work for big bombers and stuff.

Anyways, that is my request and it would be great to see this at some point.:-)

I'm quite sure that IVA's can't move while the part still being in one place. So, sorry. Something like that can't really happen.

Nope IVA's refuse to move with your turret, making loads so well experienced here, the only way to have something similar is to have your turret and fixed IVA and populate the IVA with RPM displays and fit 3 camera transforms to the external model. A simple version with a camera mounted on the pitch of the turret gives results like the image below. There is one big issue though and that's the range of movement available to the Kerb in IVa , but it's very workable as it is
