KSP 0.25 Crashing when entering buildings

So the new update (0.25) has completely wrecked KSP for me. Interestingly, I have two computers (one desktop, one laptop), both of which have dual boot for both linux and windows, and KSP doesn't seem to work in any of these places.

Here I will focus on my laptop running windows (Vista, 32bit, 4gb ram, steam version of ksp 0.25, no mods whatsoever).

Playing the game is currently impossible because clicking on any of the buildings in the KSC view results in the game crashing.

You are running out of memory (or address space) so your only solution will be to reduce the memory requirements. Try changing the texture resolution down a notch in the settings and see if that helps.

Another alternative is to add the option that forces the game to use opengl instead of directx. This significantly reduces the memory requirements though may perform slightly worse.

I got the same issue with with the buildings but every other update was fine. Is the Patch out yet??

Yeah, I have had the same issue ... Revert and game crashes when loading back into SPH. I have a high-end system with 16GB of RAM so I don't think it's a memory issue.

Unless you are running Linux 64-bit KSP, you are limited to about 3.5 GB of RAM. KSP 0.25 uses significantly more memory than previous versions, probably as a result of the new Spaceplane Plus parts and destroyed building models.

Padishar's advice is sound (like always): you can try the -force-opengl option or lower texture quality. Once Active Texture Management in stable for 0.25, you could also install that.

Otherwise, follow the instructions in the Stock Support & Bug Reporting Guide. Can't help without good information.
