No Contracts: Texture/ram mods

Recommended Posts

Hey just posting fast since I work soon but I can update later if needed.

Contracts in the contract building do not show up when I boot the game with the .25 versions of either

Texture Replacer

Active Texture Management

I am also running:

  • Near future solar
  • Near future construction
  • TAC
  • Kerbal alarm clock
  • Kerbal joint replacement
  • Mission controller
  • Part catalog
  • Precise node
  • Procedural wings
  • Procedural fairings
  • Contracts window
  • Final frontier
  • DMagic Orbital
  • Engineer Redux
  • Mechjeb (minimal)

This is in 32 bit since those mods aren't supporting 64.

I have tested these others and the contracts show up; things are fine. It is the two texture replacement mods that cause issue.

I let the Active team know but just posting here for any possible expedition.

Thanks guys!

So testing further, I tried ONLY using those mods and everything is fine...

Maybe its a ram issue because when I have enough mods its still the normal crash.

But this goes against the whole idea of even using ActiveText.

So it has to be one of the only mods to be installed to allow me contracts.

Just to let you know - I'm experiencing a similar issue with a lot of mods:

000_Toolbar
ActiveTextureManagement
ASET
ASET_Props
AutoAsparagus
BoulderCo
CIT
CommunityResourcePack
Contracts Window
CustomAsteroids
CustomBiomes
DeadlyReentry
DistantObject
EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements
FerramAerospaceResearch
FinalFrontier.dat
FinePrint
Firespitter
JSI
KAS
KerbalJointReinforcement
KittopiaSpace
ksp-advanced-flybywire
License.txt
MagicSmokeIndustries
MechJeb2
ModuleManager.2.5.1.dll
ModuleRCSFX
MP_Nazari
NASAmission
NavyFish
Nereid
OpenResourceSystem
ORSResourcePack
ORSX
PartCatalog
PartWizard
ProceduralDynamics
ProceduralFairings
RealChute
RealChute drag calculator.exe
RealSolarSystem
RemoteTech
RLA_Stockalike
SCANsat
SDL2.dll
SmokeScreen
Squad
StageRecovery
sun_flare.tex.dds
TacFuelBalancer
TextureReplacer
ThunderAerospace
toolbar-settings.dat
TreeLoader
TweakScale
UmbraSpaceIndustries
UniversalStorage
VNG
WarpPlugin

When I only have the Texture Replacer, but no Active Texture Management, contracts do show up, but the contracts interface is incomplete (the contract "buttons" are missing the graphical symbols). As soon as I enable the Active Texture Management, contracts are invisible altogether. This is using latest versions of both.

I will test further this afternoon to find more possible conflicts.

The most helpful thing you could do would be to upload your output_log.txt/player.log file as it describes in the "How to get support" sticky thread. There may well be information in there that makes the cause of the problem obvious...

Posting link below. Did not think about it, sorry. I will place it above, too, for quick reference.

Well, there are a number of exceptions in your log:

1. PartCatalog appears to be failing to load.

2. The Contracts mod is failing to load the RealChute agency texture near the end of the loading process.

3. Active Texture Management is giving a null reference exception immediately after number 2.

4. TAC life support is giving an exception in Tac.AddLifeSupport.EvaAddPartModule though this appears to be expected behaviour.

5. MissionController is giving a NullReferenceException when it is destroyed.

6. RealChute is giving a NullReferenceException when it is destroyed (trying to remove itself from the stock toolbar).

My suggestions based on this would be:

1. Remove PartCatalog as it doesn't appear to be working.

2. Your version of Contracts Window+ is out of date. Update it to 2.2. Also your version of RealChute is out of date so update that to the latest version too.

3. Make sure that Active Texture Management is up to date. There was a new release 20 hours ago (3 and a half hours after your original post).

4. ModuleManager has been updated to 2.5.1.0 so update that too.

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
