RAH-66 Comanche

Well here it is, the finished result. took me a couple of hours, and had some problems making the tail but it turned out really good, and it's probably the most agile and controllable heli i've ever built.

EDIT**: full mod list: FAR, b9 (struts), bdarmory, tweakscale, infernal robotics, procedural wings, procedural parts, kerbpaint. Adding a download, so if any mod is missing from this list let me know and i'll see which mod i haven't put on this list.

BODYWORK MADE SOLELY WITH PWING AND STRUTS (only rotor hubs were made with procedural parts), the entire fuselage is made by looking at pictures and scaling the pwing to correct sizes and shapes, connected with internal struts.

Keep in mind that this was built in 0.24.2.

Not sure if its too thick/long or whatever, i haven't spent much time building and it's just a quick one.

Procedural wings and bdarmory so far, will eventually be that and firespitter, maybe another mod aswell for the fuel tanks etc.

Pretty much finished, time to colour it and add retractable landing gear.

ALSO: i know the tail rotor and tail rotor assembly are tilted the wrong way, but tbh i can't be arsed to go back and fix it right now, will definitely do that later though

Is there anyone who could make a bdarmory 30mm cannon for me? there aren't many requirements, just that it has 240 degree swivel and is black with a small hub, medium long barrel. Would very much appreciate it if someone made it for me, as i'm worthless with editing addons and adding my own things to mods etc.

I know this is an older thread but I wanted to say that Comanche looks great. The download is no longer available and I was curious if you have tinkered with the project, with some of the later versions of KSP after .24? And also if you'd be willing to post it up for download again.

Trollkowski, I know you haven't logged in for a while. But I wanted to say you are freaking amazing! I decided to try my hand at duplicating your build using the new B9 P-wings and adjustable landing gear. I figured I'd post here before tossing up some pictures later this evening of my own build. Maybe move this to some more recent posts and give credit where credit is due.

when i click on the download link it says that it has been moved or removed from the servers of the site where i could download the craft file.

 

i know this is an old thread but this is the best RAH-66 Comanche i have seen in ksp that doesn't need 20 mods that do not work with 1.3.1

i know you haven't been active for a long time trollowski but can you put the craft file on something like KerbalX and send me the link?

I haven't been on these forums for quite some time, but I'll see whether or not I still have the craft file. I wouldn't get my hopes up since this was made in 0.24 and I've reformatted all my drives since, but there's always a chance.

Couldn't find any backup of my 0.24 crafts unfortunately, the only chance to get it now is if someone still has the zip file and is willing to upload it.
