OMS Engine - supposed to be smaller with unchanged specs?

So, the title says it all.

Is the OMS Engine really supposed to be smaller than in previous versions or is it a mishap?

I'm wondering because apart from the size nothing else changed, thrust as example is still the same.

Oh and why is it using "mesh" and "MODEL" at the same time for the very same file...
