How to fix the turboject scale/offset with 0.25

Recommended Posts

Can fix the odd Turboject size by opening the \Kerbal Space Program\GameData\Squad\Parts\Engine\jetEngineTurbo\jetEngineTurbo.cfg

Replace the model = and scale = lines with

MODEL

{

model = Squad/Parts/Engine/jetEngineTurbo/model

scale = 1, 1, 1

}

Then it will fit (almost) properly (for both size and with it's assigned 1.12 attach node)

[Edit] Still slightly too small but better than it was

jetEngineTurbo.cfg exists since 0.25, in 0.23 it was called part.cfg... or what else does 0.23 stand for?

There's nothing wrong with the scaling either, I don't get why you're trying to force a MODEL node.

Perhaps you have a ModuleManager config messing with it? No?

Sorry yes, 0.25 (fixed in OP).

It seemed smaller than it should be, and offset from it's attach node (pic from Binary_Omlet)

I had the same issue too, looks like the KSPRC textures on their picture though so I'll check it on stock

The stock part is fine, there must be some other mod messing with it. Most likely a MM config that's not right.

I compared the old and new configs, nothing changed in regards of scaling. Some things changed in 0.25, but the way the engine is scaled it isn't affected.

I think I know what happened. My guess is that another mod calls the model via the MODEL node, but with wrong scaling (because some MODEL related things changed in 0.25).
