KSC biomes breeding like rabbits or Cheap backyard science

The biomes around KSC have been extended. Discovering first the VAB biome was by accident (or by design, had only one goo and ship was off balance) because Jeb's rocket veered off course and head toward the VAB. Should make goo from bad situation so onward for science. I was just expecting to find the usual eva report and surface samples from KSC but , instead the results are from the VAB. So after exploring around KSC, have never bothered before, found all sorts of science. Each building and sub buildings, the crawlerway too.

By accident again another of Jeb's rockets landed on top of the VAB, the EVA and surface sample was now from "The Main VAB building" . So two biomes for the VAB. Now I am finding even more. There is the R&D, R&D Small Lab, R&D Main building, Tracking Station Building, Tracking Station Dish North. This is going to be growing list as Jeb continues backyard science. Gotta get to top of that tank, ladder only goes so far.

After looking at the wiki there is no mention of the separate R&D buildings eg Quonset lab

Sadly I must agree. It sure was useful farming all those biomes but I didn't really see the point of them, and in the end I feel like I ended up clearing the tech tree way too fast.

When starting with -1000 rep any science is worth grinding.

It looks like you only get maybe 1 science per experiment, is that really worth the effort? Especially before you get wheels to make a rover, you need to make a rocket to travel maybe half a kilometer from one end of the KSC to the other.

Or walk (at 4x phys timewarp). Which will be cheaper and more versatile.

But if you walk there you can't get crew reports

More important, if you walk you can only get one EVA report and one sample

Or stack two MK1 landers together at the top and just roll around KSC....don't go too fast or you'll blow up. If you need electricity for transmitting stuff, put fuel and engines on each end and fire them off at the same time.

If you do this, you can jump out, take out whatever data is in a capsule, and get back in. The Crew Report gets reset, and you get to keep the report you had before! Also works with sensor science and EVA/Surface Samples.
