Hey all, so there is a thread for which mods are 0.25 compatable, however I Have a number of those and my install crashes far to much to be playable, so im thinking some parts are not compatable, how about we screen shot our mods folder and say if its compatable or not and what happens when it crashes, I am simply trying to find a 0.25 install that has most of the mods I want THAT WILL ACTUALLY WORK WITHOUT CRASHING EVERY 5 MINS.

So list your:

1) KSP version,

2) 32/64bit

3) Details of why crashing and memory use.

4) Does your install work ok for hours on end ?

I will go first:

1) 0.25

2) 32 bit

3) Just quits on me after 5 mins, memory use on dying is 3.2gb so no where near the ram limit of 32 bit

4) No quits after 3-5 minutes, unplayable

My mods:

Hi, happily using 64bit with no issues and no crashes in over a week, even though I'm constantly adding and changing parts , plus reloading the game database 20 or 30 times per session, the only difference between this and crash happy in my case is the adoption of the force_opengl parameter being added to the shortcut.

Prior to this it frequently CTD'd , crashed on loading, crashed on changing scene, crashed everywhere!!!

Running with a 2.5GB Gamedata file . Using AMD and ATi with compatibility settings appropriately set in the launcher

Been using 0.25 x64 bit with openGL, and have experienced very few crashes. The only issue that I have is that on rare occasion the game will freeze on some explosions, particularly around the VAB with no dump log files. So far my mod list is:

EnvironmentalVisualEnhancement

Astronomer's pack - ultra high resolution

Texture Replacer

Raredon's skybox

FAR (had to make a modification to make it work with 64 bit in Visual Studio, technically not compatible but it works. I can definitely see why the author doesn't want it on 64 it)

RemoteTech

KerbinSide

B9 Aerospace

KW Rocketry

Interstellar (had to modify to fix some minor misc. issues)

Near Future

KAS

Karbonite

Universal Storage Containers

A station parts pack that I can't remember the name of

Infernal Robotics with model reworks

MechJeb

Just played with open GL, not one problem works fine...............haha wow im so glad discovered the issue is DX,lol

Yeah, I think about 90% of the issues with KSP_64 on Windows is DirectX 9; Unity has some incredibly serious bugs with the way it handles Directx 9. I just tested KSP_64 with DirectX 11 and it works beautifully; only problem is that blasted right click issue.

I would venture to say that Unity has forsaken DirectX 9, because OpenGL and DirectX 11 both work without issues, which tells me that those two areas is where all of Unity's bug fixing has gone to.

I know, I haven't had a problem since using open GL either! Since I started using that, I got rid of ATM and haven't looked back. I read that they were going to start working on the performance issues on the next phase of beta testing, so hopefully that'll clear up some issues and it'll be more optimized. I'll add my mod lists in a little while. I have two different installs one completely realistic with RF without RSS/RO and one with less realism and more part packs.
