Scaled power draw based on light brightness.

So, since the addition of the RGB sliders on stock lights you can make lights as bright or dim as you like (for example setting all three sliders low makes a dim white light), but as far as I know they always draw the same amount of power. Is it possible to create a mod that scales the power draw down based on the brightness of the lamp?

Even better would be the ability to dim them during play to save that precious charge!

you will need to write a new module for lights, one that duplicates stock's code and adds that feature. Personally I think is a lot of effort for little gain, I would just use more batteries.

You mean with VNG plugin ? that changes light color ?

EDIT- My bad, I see it on the parts cfg but how are you getting the slider to come up ?

EDIT- That just like VNG plugin but stock, I can just change in VAB with VNG can change them anytime whats up with that.

EDIT- And thats just change color not really dimming the light.

Adjustable light colour and brightness has been part of the stock game since 0.23, just right click the light in the VAB.

I'm not looking for a mod to alter light colour, I'm looking for a mod that alters light power usage depending on brightness. At the moment it is ridiculous how many batteries you have to spam all over a mun lander just to keep a lightbulb running until the sun comes up.

You can make your lights very dim simply by moving ALL THREE RBG sliders to a lower setting at once, but they still suck up the same insane amount of electricity.

LOL didn't know that been running VNG plugin so, I can do that anytime, I didn't know they made it stock and can't you use FS plugin to change the power ? But bet NathanKell

as a better way was hoping he would repost and give a hint.
