Removal of Planets

Is there any possible way I can virtually delete the planets from the files, so that they're not there anymore? I have a bad computer (26 GB left iMac, model 2010/2009) and I REALLY need to reduce lag. Thanks, and have fun. - GabeN

Computing strength isn't really based on memory capacity.

Short answer, no.

Some mods (which will increase load on your machine, actually) can modify the Kerbol system extensively (or minutely).

Perhaps you've been at the standard game settings, but if not, try reducing the various graphical settings. Personally I find that running at half-res and pushing the physics delta time/frame to .10 or .11 makes the game run much more bearably on a poor machine.

Nah, I've been running at minimum but still experience frequent fps drops.

KSP is mostly CPU intensive.

My 3.3Ghz rig handles KSP somewhat well.
