The game crashed today (happens pretty rarely considering I have ~30 mods installed on this build) so I checked the logs to see what I could find... (Side note, only two null references, one from Persistant-Trails and the other from EVE)

I wish there was a blast awesomeness modifier in the options.

(Blast awesomeness modifier: Default: 1x, Goes from 0.10x to 10x. Multiplies Blast Awesomeness numbers to this level, for bigger, more awesome explosions.)

I'm afraid this may be irrelevant, actually. Using the debug log as reference, i've been blowing stuff up, on, er, on purpose (Okay, maybe not) and the actual explosions, while varying greatly in explosion size and strength, the blast awesomeness was always 0 (for things like struts that go in smoke) and 0.5 (Everything else that actually explodes)

I don't think the blast awesomeness variable actually has any effect after they redid the explosion FX system :(

Perhaps there's another way to make the explosions, on average, more... "Explodey-er"?, for lack of a better phrase.

Explodie-er? More Explodey? Explodierer? Very explosion?

Oh I'm not giving up :) I have a few ideas left to look into. For instance, it may be possible to replace an explosion texture/object/thingy (still figuring out how they are generated) with something five times it's size. Also, I haven't found any values that seem to correlate to the scale of explosions, but if I do I could make something to change those. I don't really know what I'm doing, so if anyone with experience wants to help, that'd be great.

Well, still no luck, though I can't say I have really been putting a whole ton of effort into it. However, every so often I have come across this glitch where parts of my ship are not destroyed and continue to explode forever. It has always been bit of a nuisance, but recently I have realized that there is potential for a mod to replicate this glitch in some form, to get results like this:

...Does it affect FPS at all? If not, then I bet a mod could be made for this that could be "Safe for general consumption" :D

A lot.

Probably above the amount of funds one can possess without the game having to display it using scientific notation.

(should of used Googolplex instead, oh well)

On topic: Perhaps it's possible to make "bigger" explosions by making a mod that spawns more than one explosion for what would normally be one explosion? Thus, while an orange tank hitting the ground would NORMALLY spawn one explosion, it'll spawn multiple explosions (perhaps with slight delays, so the effect lasts for longer?)

That would probably melt my GPU, though...
