Opening pod hatches for stock KSP capsules

Yes, it would be awesome, but, it would be extremely hard. The easy part would be to make an animation to open the hatch (thats dead simple) but then you have to replace every single stock pod/cockpit. Next up you'd need to move the kerbal out. And, someone correct me if I'm wrong, but custom Kerbal animations haven't been done yet.

So, it's very possible, but we need some custom animations first. (to animate the kerbal going out...because, it would be silly just to have the door open, then POP kerbal is in front of a door and it's closing. I'd like to see my kerbal crawl out :P)

And, don't ask for the interiors...I'm starting to Mod KSP, and, I'm looking at the mk1-2 command pod, (modeled it so both the interior and exterior are together) and there's no interior door to go outside...and hardly much room to move around either...sheesh feel sorry for those kerbals I do!

There is also the much bigger snag from my point of view, as someone who's done it, that many of the IVA's do not actually fit inside the capsule they're meant for, so they really would have to be rejigged unless of course you are happy to have a a transparent empty interior when the door is open, internal faces are not rendered.

Which is also why you cant just add the transparency module to a stock pod or cockpit
