Why was Steve5451 banned?

I read on another forum that both me and many other community members (Namely Gadgethem, Steve5451, The Russian, Epsilon, etc.) participate on, that Steve5451 was banned for piracy. More accurately, Steve posted an image woth the standard ban message, except it said he was banned for piracy. Why is this? AFAIK he posted no bannable content. On the other forum (which also has a no piracy rule) he is generally a pleasant guy.

Any info on this whatsoever?

As with most, I believe it would be the new rules (people still don\'t realise there are rules, I have known there would be rules for a while).

I\'m fairly certain the Squad guys have a policy of banning anyone who posts anything to do with pirating the game -- whether that\'s speculation on how it could be done, actually posting links to pirated content, referring to pirated content, saying they\'ve pirated the game, etc.

The definatly do, even if your joking, heres the list of things that they will do.

Ip ban you from the forums and the store.

Ban your forum account and store account.

And take down the pirated edition.

They are serious about it.

There may be an issue with Steve, we are looking in to it. Suffice to say, an IP he is connecting from might have been banned that was at one time linked to another account that was banned. This is the issue with dynamic IP addresses. We\'re looking in to it.

As far as piracy talk? You admit to pirating KSP, talk of pirating KSP, or do anything even remotely endangering this projects future, and we will drop the hammer on you like no bodies business. Yes piracy is a quote 'un-winnable' war, but we\'re going to fight it.
