Nice, did I inspire this? As to the hints I can give after building one of these stock: angle your main engines down. That will take care of the torque they are giving you and make you able to shut down the VTOL while keeping a level flight.

Also, you are slightly unbalanced on that takeoff. Unless you fuel is mostly forwards, I'd move the engines a lift engines a bit backwards: if it tilts anywhere, you want it tilting forward, so it builds speed and you get more control authority form the aerodynamic surfaces.
