and you thought the unity glitches were bad in KSP?

Well, the game in the OP link does not present itself as a open access alpha version, so comparisons with KSP are somewhat unfair , right ? :P

Right. Even being able to comparing Squad with the likes of Ubisoft and squad coming on top is quite an achievement for a small indie company and they should be proud of the fact that although it has its little bugs; KSP is no where near a buggy in its pre-beta state than ubisoft's fully released game.

This article refers to the game Assassins Creed: Unity and has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the Unity game engine KSP uses.

For Assassins Creed it refers to the name. For KSP it's the game engine.

That's the joke (dot pee-en-gee).

To be honest I'm kind of glad their share price has fallen. Maybe they'll be more pro consumer in the future

Maybe if the consumer stopped pre-ordering, buying overpriced DLC & paying real money for in-game cash, then there'd be a reason for them to be pro-consumer. Until then, it's an easy way to make money out of people that will never learn. Shame, as it ruins games for the rest of us.

It's quite amazing how much they dropped the ball after the fantastic Black Flag. Similarly how their Reflections studio produced Driver: San Francisco and then Watch Dogs.

KSP is weird for an alpha IMO. I've seen released games with more gamebreaking bugs than KSP has from patch to patch. Ya there really isnt much in the way of story content but the game does not really need premade content to be fun (not that I'd object to haveing a story mode to play through)

I hope it might be the reverse. Unhappy investors and shareholders are a disaster. So, next time, they might spend a little more time polishing the game to a proper standard. Big boys don't care about customers, they care about who owns them - but in this case that might work out.

Thats my thought as well - KSP could easily be released as a fully developed game TODAY - including the bugs which are far more tame than some of the megabuck corporation games. AND Squad have said that they will be concentrating on resolving the bugs in the beta coming soon which is even more impressive.

I remember reading in one of the releases that ksp has a large number of testers and pre-release userbase which can go through the new updates and iron out anything game breaking straight off the bat - its surprising that no other commercial game has this sort of thing in place - pretty sure the likes of scott manley et al would find all the bugs in AC:U in the first couple of hours and had gone to ubisoft with a full bug report (I question what the heck their software developers were doing during game test day?!) - Also KSP has an open source bug tracker and this is something I haven't seen outside of open source computer programs - unless I'm corrected - we don't see that sort of thing in a commercial game.
