My Claw won't attach to the asteroid

Recommended Posts

KSP: 0.24

Problem: My Claw won't attach to asteroids anymore. It worked once, but now it just bounces off.

Mods Installed:

Kerbal Alarm Clock

Spaceplane Plus

Toolbar

Active Texture Management

Kerbal Attachment System

Dang It

Deadly Re-entry

Kerbal Engineer Redux

Fine Print

Firespitter

IXS Command Pod

Talisar's Spherical/Toroidal Fuel Tanks

6S Service Modules

Mk2 Cockpit Internals

Trajectories

Texture Replacer

TAC Life Support

TAC Self-Destruct

Starvision's Flags

Aviation Lights

Sci-fi Shipyards (Stargazer bridge)

Distant Object Enhancer

Reproduction Steps:

- Use 0.24

- Rendezvous with a class-E asteroid in interplanetary space and attach to it with the Claw.

- Timewarp until you enter Kerbin's SOI, then disconnect, maneuver around the asteroid, and try to reconnect.

- The Claw will now just bounce off the asteroid, refusing to "dock" as it should. Sometimes it will get stuck in the asteroid and build tension, though disarming the Claw will release it. And yes, I've been going after a relatively flat part as carefully as possible.

EDIT: Here's a picture. You can clearly see the Claw embedded inside the rock, but it won't latch on for some reason.

Possibly It is this known issue from FinePrint (your log confirms it)
