Can't Download!

I try to download from this, it stops midway on google chrome and internet explorer. I got this after KSP was on steam. Please, i need a steam key.

Do you have a steam account? If not check which version of KSP you are downloading- It should be KSP 25.0, and not the steam installer!

you should have the steam key, if you've purchased the game. If you haven't, then you can't get one.

I have got the game from the store. Quoting from the FAQ "Yes, we now offer the choice to transfer KSP purchases from before the game was available on Steam, note that this process is OPTIONAL and IRREVERSIBLE. If you transfer your purchase to Steam, you will no longer be able to download or update the game from the KSPStore, but also nobody's forcing you to go to Steam, if you opt not to transfer, you can still download and update the game as usual. To move to Steam, log in to your KSPStore profile and you will find the button to start the process next to your download link. Again please note that you will only be eligible for a transfer if you purchased the game before it was on Steam, no exceptions, please don't insist."

The download is not working, all i need is a steam key.

Understood, i think the steam key would be on steam itself, when you perform first-time startup. That's when I see the steam key. Try running it from steam instead of the forums? Since it said directly "you will no longer be able to download or update the game from the KSPStore"

but you have a steam account? so when you transfered the purchase, it should have shown up in steam, correct?

I'm not sure what's wrong, check your email for the key, mabye steam sent it there, I'm out of ideas...

zekes, Daman purchased KSP from the KSP Store; they don't sell the Steam distribution -- that is done via the Steam Store.

Daman, if you want to exchange the purchase for a Steam key, your best bet is to ask Squad by emailing support@kerbalspaceprogram.com. It can sometimes take a few days for them to respond, so make sure you attach proof of purchase to the initial email to expedite matters. Otherwise, you can always try downloading with a different browser and/or a download manager.

Have you tried to download KSP from your store account today Daman?

If it still does not work I suggest you try a download manager so interrupted downloads can be resumed, DownThemAll on Firefox works pretty well.

Or instead of the full 0.25.0 zip, try the installer from the same download page.

Hi, Daman. Unfortunately, the grace period from which we transferred keys has long since expired. However, can you detail your issues in downloading from the KSP store?

It would probably be a good idea to try downloading with an alternate browser. You might also want to try using a download manager. If you have Firefox, I know some people have had success using the DownThemAll! plugin to download KSP.
