[Question] How old do you have to be to be in FLL (First LEGO League)?

FLL is pretty fun. I was a leader at a group my church began this year.

I'd advise looking for a local group to join -they'll have their own robots, which aren't cheap, plus more experience/advice about making robots and programs which perform well. Cost will probably vary a little depending on the group.

There's a lot of resources out there if you want to get ahead with the programming- the software for both types of robot is free, but there's you can't guarantee a program will work without a robot to test it on.

I never had FLL experience. :(

However, I am in FTC (5442 Half Life) and FRC (3410 Team Life). Both have been great learning experiences, and I have helped some FLL teams program their robots. (WOW, the new Lego Mindstorms EV3 is incredible!)

I am also Programming Officer for FIRST in general at our school, so if you need help feel free to PM me.
