Kethane problem

Hello KSP'ers, I am new to this and I have downloaded the Kethane mod. It does not show any kethane on Kerbin. Is that normal? Also on star up it says "This mod is not compatible with Unity 4.5.3p2. Is there a different version I have to download? Please help!

v0.25.0.642 KSP. 0.92 Kethane. On startup I get an warning: THESE MODS ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH Unity 4.5.3p2: KETHANE. Did I install it wrong? I put the Kethane folder into GameData. The Startup pages show some of the grids green, but in the Tracking Station the grids are all grey. Do I have to be in orbit to scan?

That warning is there because your using a Mac and Kethane has not been tested on the version of Unity that KSP uses for the Mac version. It probably will work, but if it doesn't you are pretty much on your own (though other Mac users may be willing to help here, the addon author can not).

As for Kethane not showing, you must scan the planet before you can see it using the scanner devices from orbit. Low polar orbits are best to ensure you can scan the whole planet. By using a polar orbit, you take advantage of the planet's rotation.
