Can't resume game, ever

I am having an issue with resuming games. When opening up the game to play one day, I click on the "resume game" button to continue my career game. Nothing happens. This was no different from every other time, and I made no modifications anywhere that could have messed with my game. I even checked and yes my saves are in the "saves folder as always"After restarting the window, then the app, then the computer without success I came here, can someone help?!

Check your saves again. Look at the persistent.sfs files contained in those folders. Specifically, look for one with an unusually low filesize compared to the others. Open it in a text editor. You will likely see the file has been 'cut off' at a certain point and is missing a lot of data.

This file will be broken. If you have a recent quicksave or other backup of the persistence file, replace the broken persistent.sfs file with one of those.

Does "zero bytes" count as an unusually low file size? where can I get the quicksave? That's my only hope right now.

The quicksave should be next to the persistent.sfs, if it isn't, you don't have one :/

That zero length file is preventing KSP from loading any save, move it out (or delete it, it's empty) and you'll be a able to load the other saves.

Had to delete my game, sigh. Oh well I wasn't very far in, and now I can play on my other saves.
