My own Delta-V calculator

Not sure if this thread belongs here or not, feel free to move it…

After KSP found me about a year ago, and after the one year of enjoying it immensely I have decided to get a little more into the nuts and bolts of how, when you strap several tonnes of explosive material to your back, go you either go explore stuff or spectacularly explode. Or just go phhhhht. Whatever. The point is, I just built me a Delta-V calculator thingy so, whilst sitting at work and thinking about KSP, I can instead actually do something constructive like test out different rocket configurations to see if they would escape Kerbin and achieve orbit, then get to and return from Pol, etc etc.

I thought that others may want to have this capability too, so I share with you my webpage. It is not entirely complete, the one remaining detail is to calculate the possible destinations you can reach with the rocket you describe, but it is close to that point. Enjoy!

I have only ever played stock so far. One day I will get into mods but for now the stock game is still quite enjoyable and challenging as it is. Also, I can imagine having to find out the specs for every single part in every single mod out there would be quid tedious. Doesn't sound like too much fun to me!

Well that seems selfish. Not willing to sacrifice time with family, friends, and work to make it easier for me to design rockets. You sir are a prime example of what is wrong with humanity.

Great work and I imagine trying to include all the mods will be a pain.

This is now booked marked, saved and worshiped by the church of Delta V (still waiting on that tax exempt)

Im sure if you asked the mod creators they would be more than happy to help you implement their mods! after all ksp is one big family it seems

… You should add a Destination drop-down menu so we can easily see how much we need.

Good idea, I will incorporate that.

...You sir are a prime example of what is wrong with humanity...

:sticktongue: I take that as a kompliment!

If there be any other suggestions out there, let 'em fly!
