Running KSP off a flash driive / usb external media on Windows?

Hi all. Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, I couldn't decide what section would be most appropriate.

If I copy KSP in its entirety to an external USB drive, can I take that with me to a friend's house to demo the game and run it directly off the flash drive? I'm imagining it would work, but I was just curious if anyone here had tried it.

I've seen the question come up before, and to my best recollection you should be able to run the game off a USB drive just fine I haven't tried it myself, though.

Excellent, thanks for the info. A recollection of a past conversation is plenty good enough evidence for me to go buy the flash drive for that purpose, seeing how worst case I can use the drive for something else. I just didn't want to go off without sanity checking myself.

Yeah just copy and paste the whole install. I've done this before with no issues whatsoever.

Some antivirus software might cause problems when trying to run it from a flash drive, but those are rare cases.

If this happens the solution is to just scan the drive manually then whitelist it to deal with the problem.
