Strut Type Landing Gear

Knowing we have lander type struts, I wouldn't mind seeing retractable strut/skid type gear for spaceplace designs, that could allow landings on planets or moons, without needing wheels. Anyone done such a mod etc?

I've not seen mods, but I have seen fixed landing gear made from trusses and the like; if memory serves, one or two of Whackjob's crazier builds had their own truss scaffold lander legs, though I think they were mainly used as launch support.

one or two of Whackjobs crazier builds had landing legs made out of struts and tanks that were larger than any ship I've ever launched and I've sent some behemoths into orbit. that zarkand or whatever it was called was going to have a bunch of those leg/truss structures, each that could qualify as a mothership in its own right.
