Game crashes instantly with LOTS of parts

Okay, If you have alot of parts consider turning down some settings in the main menu. If that doesn't work install Active texture management http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/59005-0-25-Release-3-8-Oct-16-2014-Active-Texture-Management-Save-RAM! Also if you have low specs then you might consider using lower part counts than larger ones. You could also go into the files and use 64 bit although it is unstable i haven't had any trouble .

making the game run smoothly with high part counts isn't just some magic flag like PARTS_BIGNUM_CPU_FAST=0 that squad can just toggle in the code base. it's limited by your computer's processor and the game's physics engine - despite severe limitations inherent in the system they've been working on incrementally improving it since the beginning and many people are getting ~60% better part count performance than they were a few versions ago, depending on their CPU architecture. here's my interim fix: try a design that doesn't use so many parts.
