IRL KSP: Orion Spacecraft

Is it just me, or does the Delta IV Heavy spacecraft NASA just launched (for the Orion Spacecraft) look a whole, whole lot like KSP?

Even Orion itself's crew module and solar panels look alot like a KSP Command module and solar panels .

Oh, thank god I wasn't the only one who noticed this. Orange tanks FTW

It is just a coincidence that allows us to make a better replica of it (although the Delta v tanks are double the rockomax). The ksp tanks may be modelled after it or just be chance.

The original ET is informally known as the Standard Weight Tank (SWT) and is fabricated from 2219, a high-strength aluminum–copper alloy used for many aerospace applications. The first two, used for STS-1 and STS-2, were painted white to protect the tanks from ultraviolet light during the extended time that the shuttle spends on the launch pad prior to launch.[6] Because this did not turn out to be a problem, Lockheed Martin (at that time, Martin Marietta) reduced weight by ceasing to paint the external tanks beginning with STS-3, leaving the rust-colored spray-on insulation bare, saving approximately 272 kg (600 lb).[7]
