Learning about planes

Recommended Posts

I will confirm that that guide is the best one I've seen for new players. The primary thing I would add is that Center of Lift is also known as Center of Pressure, and also happens to be Center of Drag*.

*This explains why CoP behind center of mass gives you stability: just imagine fixing center of mass, and a force trying to push CoP/CoD backwards. If CoD is already behind CoM, that force stabilizes your aircraft: it'll try to keep CoD where it already is. Put CoD in front of CoM, and you'll have a wild ride of trying to keep your plane stable.

Windows 7 Professional - Service Pack 1

KSP 0.24. I am not sure about 64-bit; I use de .exe instead of the launcher, I have the KSP_x64.exe, but I use the KSP.exe to start the game.

Mods:

EngineerRedux-0.6.2.12 Carpeta GameData

DockingPortAlignment_4.0

FinalFrontier0.5.9-177

KerbalAlarmClock_3.0.4.0

and MechJeb2-2.4.0.0 which is useless until 0.25

When I said that my problem is about software I mean about the use of the keyboard or the configuration of the plane... There is something that scape to me; but the fact is that I am not able to work the control surfaces like that video shows...
