Old-style Mk3 cargo bays updated to current-style Mk2 fuselage shape?

With the stock Mk3 parts about to be replaced with larger versions, I could still see old Mk3 parts like TouhouTorpedo's Mk3 cargo bay being adapted to the updated Mk2 platform, as the stock Mk2 cargo bays are so small inside, especially vertically. Adapting the old Mk3 cargo bays to the new Mk2 parts would allow some much better options for hauling one-man landers and such.

Sort of like the Dreamlifter... :)

Call them Mk2+, Mk2-B, whatever... Is anyone considering anything like this?

Actually, it's quite possible to create a lander that will fit in a CRG-08. It's just not easy by any stretch of the imagination. You have to clip a butt-ton of Oscar-Bs into an FLT-200, make sure the fuel flows right, then clip in the landing legs and... it's a headache. I'd love to see a mod that includes more commodious cargo bays! Actually, wouldn't just a plain 2.50m cargo bay work? The stock ones are laughably small and useless, but it would be pretty quick work to make bigger ones using stock textures...

I'd also like to see this happen. To sweeten the deal for any would-be part makers, I've made a Filter Extension icon and config for what I call "Mark 2 Oversized". I'm happy to push it to Crzyrndm if we get buy-in!

Note that the parts in the category are not true "Mark 2O" parts, since they're just the old Mk3 parts from Original KSP Parts with "mk2o" added to their bulkheadProfiles to populate the category. They're still the old asymmetrical shape, and they're only 2.2 m tall rather than 2.5 (though I'm up for changing the description to match whatever final thickness is used -- 2.5m just seems like the most convenient value to me).
