MU Nebula-Class SSTO

Recommended Posts

I'm pleased to introduce the all-new MU Nebula-Class SSTO (and soon-to-be starfighter)!

Following the failure of several prototype SSTOs and dropships, the MU's inter-atmospheric flight division got back to it's roots:

Maneuverability, utility, and aesthetics. The hallmarks of a great MU-brand SSTO. The Nebula-Class meets all those requirements, with room for further upgrades if needed.

Features include:

Twin-turbojet atmospheric engines

Twin MU chem-pulse orbital engines, with plenty of LFO fuel to use once in orbit. (Each engine is 1 Rockomax 48-7S supplemented/boosted by 1 LV-1R)

Advanced aerodynamic design: these SSTOs are highly agile in the hands of skilled pilots, and are quite stable on ascent and descent.

First, move the camera inside the belly of the craft and right-click on the hidden probe core. Once you do so, select "control from here".

After takeoff, point the ship at a 45 degree ascent path until you reach around 10,000 meters up. Once there, fly it carefully as you would with any other small SSTO craft.

On re-entry/atmospheric insertion, orient your craft facing your prograde velocity vector until your reach the lower atmosphere. Then, flare out (pull up) and fly it like any normal jet-powered aircraft. Runway landings are advised, but not necessary to safely land.

Military-grade "M" variant coming soon...
