Enjoying the game a ton! Thanks guys.

Straight to it:

1) The tutorial text is kinda hard to read at times (24 inch monitor, 1080p, fully color calibrated, 40/20 eyesight). Something larger, or smoother (though that may not thematically fit) would sure make it easier for me..

2) The launch seems really bare on ceremony. What if pressing space bar gave you a 3... 2... 1... countdown with a music swell? Might be nice for the final release

Interesting idea, some have thought of before. I think it might be a better idea to have it on a separate button, because people don't just launch rocket ships. They also like to build weird ground contraptions.

I'm curious to see what you think of 0.90's new limitations of building tiers, because a lot of people including myself have been worried about how newbies deal with career. In previous versions I would have definitely suggested you use career mode before sandbox mode, but in the latest version the difficulty curve of the game seems backwards, and when coupled with the learning curve, I'm scared this may be a problem.

You mean upgrading the science facility and such? Haven't gotten that far, mostly learning to steer rockets, how much fuel I need, and figuring out what the magic button is for completing a "survey over location X" mission is. I'll fly REALLY close to the map waypoint, and try to get my kerbals to gather data, but it's not letting me complete the mission...

I haven't even tried a survey mission Try right clicking on the command pod?

There are altitude restrictions on survey missions, double check that you're within the acceptable range.

Welcome aboard Nitro. This game is senselessly addictive. Another great source if you get stuck (or just want to see mind boggling cool stuff) is to watch some Scott Manley videos on youtube. And Yeah altitude is a factor, and I think surveys want you to take a crew report at the destination. Right click the command pod when you're there and you'll see crew report listed.
