To the mun with decouplers

hello! his challenge is to reach the Mun with decouplers only. Now your thinking, 'WHAT! IMPOSSIBRU!' but, you going to need to .cfg edit. there is no restriction on mods at all. You do NOT need to land on the mun, only crash into it. ( bonus points for landing)

How to cfg edit decouplers

Go to your KSP directory and open the file \Parts\stackDecoupler\part.cfg

there is a line (nearly at the bottom): ejectionForce = 10

Increase this value, using 1000 a pod will lift off a few meters when the part is decoupled.

Using 10000 it will go up to about 400 meters.

(Thanks to SubOrbitalGuy)

RULES

1. No propulsion other than decouplers

2. All mods allowed

3. .CFG editing is required (unless you wanna try legit ;P)

4. You need to make it to the mun

5. you dont need to land, only crash

6. Pics or it didnt happen

Winners!

None

The key to this is to guesstimate how far behind the Mun should be when you decouple, 3500 seems right, Atmos and gravity slow you down enough so that you can actually see your craft move, instead of teleporting across the galaxy.

Hi,

maybe some people don\'t try because they aren\'t sure what to edit:

3. .CFG editing is required (unless you wanna try legit ;P)

some help:

Go to your KSP directory and open the file \Parts\stackDecoupler\part.cfg

there is a line (nearly at the bottom): ejectionForce = 10

Increase this value, using 1000 a pod will lift off a few meters when the part is decoupled.

Using 10000 it will go up to about 400 meters.

I\'m trying to get multiple stages to work, right now I\'m always losing some parts of the upper stage that I wanted to use later when decoupling the lower part, have to edit some more cfg I guess.
