Will struts disappear when dock disengages?

I secured my lander to my main ship using struts to stop it wobbling. When the dock disengages will the struts disappear or will they stay there and prevent separation of the lander? The wobbling won't be an issue for return so it doesn't matter that I can't reconnect the struts.

Yes, when you undock the struts will unlink as well.

Any time two pieces held together by struts are disconnected the struts will disengage. This is true of putting them across decouplers as well.
