List Launches you have seen.

I watched the final launch of Discovery in 2013 from near Cape Canaveral, unfortunately I was not privy to what I was seeing at the time. Truly a wasted opportunity, but at least I saw it.

I have seen, with my own eyes (except when clouds were in the way) every launch to take place from the cape since August 1994. Further I have watched one of every shuttle launch from the cape itself. I have to say the crowning achievement of my rocket watching came when my boy scout troop got to watch STS 93 from the media area (near the countdown clock). I remember though they scrubbed just before the engines were supposed to light and we were very upset because we weren't sure if we were going to make it for the next attempt. We did though and it was AMAZING. I had seen a night launch before, so I knew they were bright, but that was from 12+ miles away. Being only 3 miles away, the whole place was lit up like daytime for about a minute or so.

As much as I hate living in Florida (I'm not built for this heat) living less than 75 miles from the cape has its advantages.
