Minecraft: Story Mode, A Telltale Games Series

Just saw this one:

We’re collaborating with Telltale Games to create Minecraft: Story Mode! Here are some bullet points to celebrate!

• Minecraft: Story mode will be a narrative-driven video game created by Telltale Games. It will be about Minecraft.
  
• Mojang is collaborating with Telltale and members of the community to make Minecraft: Story Mode as Minecrafty as possible.
  
• The first episode will be released some time in 2015, and will be available on Xbox consoles, PlayStation consoles, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android-based devices.
  
• Minecraft: Story Mode will be released episodically, just like The Wolf Among Us, The Walking Dead, or the recent Tales from the Borderlands, which is another developer-collaboration series between Telltale Games and Gearbox Software.
  
• We’re not intending on creating an “official†story for Steve, or explaining the world of Minecraft in detail. It will be a cool game.
  
• The Minecraft 2 thing was a joke. No really. It was a joke.

Thinking of Minecraft i can't imagine what kind of interesting story you could put in there but that may be just my lack of imagination. Also a good question would be if all characters keep their Blocky look.

A lot of people have creativity in the community when it comes to a story about Minecraft. I think the games would be interesting, but I still question enjoyable.

Exactly, you(Telltale in this case) make your own story.

This is no official story, it's just Telltale's own version of a Minecraft story.

Minecraft should have been dead already. This is just trying to sell a dead horse. The developers are lazy and only released 1 useless update per year, bukkit died and developers sold themselves. This game is abandoned, and for some reason people still keep on talking about it even through it was the same gameplay for years without good updates. Games don't last forever, but this one is lasting longer than it should.

And where the quail is the official modding support that has been in development for over a year?
