0.9 building already upgraded? bug?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is anyone else having this issue? i just updated to 0.9 but right at the start it seems all the buildings are already at level 3 and i can't upgrade them, however when i go to launch a rocket it tells me it is to heavy to launch, as if the launchpad wasn't upgraded

They're taking the mickey, because the beta version is 0.90 -- it's not a decimal; you can't shorten it to 0.9, since 0.9 was one of the versions of KSP before they ever required you to purchase it.

Anyway, this is a known glitch with the x64 version. I'll move this to the support sections.

ok i have just checked and its the same on the 32bit version

As I said you have to run KSP.exe, not the launcher. You can still set all your preferred options in the launcher, but then close it and start KSP.exe.

Apparently that's how you start the 32-bit version if you have 64-bit Windows, although ridiculous.

Here's a quick fix to solve this issue:

In your save folder is a file in called persistent.sfs

Open this up in a text editor and search for ScenarioUpgradeableFacilities

Set all buildings (other than the flag) to lvl = 1

That will max the buildings regardless of what the game was showing before

Saves are located in Kerbal Space Program > Saves > (Save Name)
