What do contracts mean/require by the terms "facilities" and "research lab"

I have contracts that ask me to create stations and outposts that have 'facilities' for a certain number of kerbals. Does this just mean command pods and lander cans with enough capacity for them? Some contracts also specify that the station must have a 'research lab'. Does that mean the MPL-LG-2 Mobile Processing Lab?

Facilities: crew capacity, basically.

Research lab: yes, it's the processing lab.

Yes you are correct. Please note that you're command pods do not have to be filled to complete the contract. You just have to have room for the stated amount of crew.
