Can't dock while on Kerbin!

Recommended Posts

So I have this problem. I'm using Infernal Robotics to make a little rover/base thing that drives around on the surface of Kerbin, and using a robotic arm to dock with aircraft. By docking it will allow me to transfer fuel, which is what I wan't. The problem is that no matter how close, how hard I push, or how perfect the two docking ports are lined up, they won't dock! The only other mod I have is Tweak Scale. Please Help!

Here is a picture:

Use something like http://imgur.com/ to upload them, then put the URL in the %7Boption%7D tags.

I don't use those mods though, sorry :(

I don't think that it is the mods that are causing the problem. I just need help to why the docking ports won't connect while in the atmosphere of Kerbin. I don't know if this is a bug or not. It would be helpful if you could tell me if their is a mod out their that fixes this bug.

(Also, how do I get the URL of the screenshot? Right now the screenshot is in my picture folder, named DockingProblem.JPG

I'm not familiar with this mod, but I have had this problem with docking adapters before where I couldn't get the docking to occur no matter how perfect I lined up. I would just bump off of it. Try this...

1. Go into the persistent.sfs file

2. Search for a line which says "state = Acquire"

3. Change to "state = Ready"

After finding the erzatz docking adapter and changing it's state, it worked perfectly.

How do I make it more flexible? Any ideas?

Never mind. I don't need ideas on that being that I just fixed the problem, and that wasn't the problem. You were right, the two docking ports weren't actually aligned. I fixed it by adding a rotational part from Infernal Robotics, which allowed me to move the port the few crucial degrees that it needed to properly dock. Thanks for all your help!
