CISPA is a bill that currently has a lot of support in congress and not much publicity.

Basically, it allows the goverment to monitor any online conversation, if they even slightly suspect anything, in the interests of \'national security\'. It allows them to intercept, monitor or modify and online communication in the US. They can even look into the files in your computer.

I\'m so tired of SOPA getting it\'s wording changed around and the name changed.

I will never support a Bill that allows the government to snoop on personal property.

What has happend to America any more.

If only we could create an alternative to the internet...

Everyone needs to make it clear that we dont want ANY of these kinds of bills.

The only way to do that is to start angry mobs leading to the white house.

Yup. It\'s the replacement to SOPA except it\'s a lot more ridiculous and has Huuuuuuge potential as an invasion of privacy. I literally started laughing around 42 seconds in to a news report on it.

I already FB shared, and I got an email from Google asking to complete a sentence about the internet.

It\'s clearly meant to support keeping these types of Bills from passing

So Google is well aware and I\'d expect another type of protest, at least from Google. Maybe not another blackout thing (Google only replaced their banner), but maybe a message to the Congress from people like us.

I am really sick and tired of our government. We, the people of the United States, have told them time and time again that we do not want this bill, and they keep pushing it. I thought for a second that Congress is supposed to REPRESENT it\'s people. Apparently I was wrong.

Why on Earth would a government listen to its subjects? Who cares what they think of the current government, they\'re all just sheep! Besides, it\'s not like they have the power to overturn the government!

OH WAIT!

The movie industry has been pushing them to pass bills to prevent online piracy saying it costs them billions of dollars.

The government will follow us if we show it, since we\'re their source of income as well.

i own sheres so i look at the market and the movie makers are losseng a bit but the tax man well he losses a lot more

Did you know that Microsoft and Facebook are hypocrite, the are against SOPA, but the support CISPA.

WHAT ON EARTH?!

Microsoft should not be supporting, Facebook I\'m not surprised at.

Well now that I\'m pissed at microsoft time to find stuff wrong with other companies....

I\'m fine with governments monitoring everything... As long as it is everything and they\'re open about doing it.

I just don\'t want them to close down on certain groups or do it behind our backs.

That\'s basically what this law allows them to do.

I\'m fine with them monitoring chats, as long as it\'s not emails.

Monitoring emails is like monitoring letters.

Yes I know this augment: If you don\'t have hide something, then you don\'t worry about it. But this laws against piracy go,s too far and it hurts privacy, freedom and the network neutrality, will we that? or let we the internet stay as one of the few things where is almost total freedom?

New rule: If you have nothing to hide, then no government has any damn business peeking into your life since they won\'t find what they\'re looking for.
