Oxygen Purge System?

Hey guys. I\'m building a space suit (Fred Haise\'s to be exact). The PLSS backpack is coming along REALLY well! Actual size and everything, except I have an issue that I\'d like some help with. Does anybody know the exact dimensions of the Oxygen Purge system used on top of the Apollo Personal Life Support Systems?

Nice, what features are you gonna include?

PLSS backpack fully detailed, OPS on top. Home made A7L suit replica, LEVA helmet, EVA gloves, IV boots, EVA lunar overshoes, sample collector, wrist checklist.

Everything the real one had. I\'m basing it off of the post-flight suit pictures from the Apollo Lunar Surface Journal. If I can, I plan to make a water cooling system. Might be a little hard, though.

The replicas built for the Apollo 13 movie were as accurate as it\'s possible to get - there\'s plenty of good reference material there (see the dream sequence where Jim actually gets to land on the moon).

Sorry VincentMcConnell but all I can find is the width, and even that is indirectly.

This page http://www.myspacemuseum.com/plss.htm has some info and dimensions on the Portable Life Support System, and the OPS looks to be exactly the same width of 20.5 inches.

I found this page http://www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/alsj-OPS.html with bags of pics to help you with the look of the part, and there\'s this page http://workingonthemoon.com/WOTM-OPS.html with more technical details should you want them.

You may have to guess at the parts height and depth.
