So... Just downloaded Orbiter 2010 last night

Being a sim, it\'s very difficult to get anywhere in Orbiter :b

But don\'t take that as a turn-off, the challenge is part of the fun. Infact, tonight I\'m going to make yet another Lunar Orbit mission attempt.

BTW, if you have any questions, the forums are a great place to present them :)

Sure. I\'d like to orbit the moon tonight and successfully return. My next mission will be to make a free return around Mars.

Just played it a little bit. I really prefer Kerbal. Orbiter is very boring and slow and there\'s not much piloting in it, to be honest. What I noticed about orbiter is you click on one of the steps in the AMSO Apollo add-on and then the computer practically does everything for you... The only piloting and trajectory planning you do is just typing in numbers and clicking on things in the MFD. It doesn\'t even seem realistic...

I wouldn\'t rate the game very high. I\'ve just started KSP back up again.

Let\'s just hope this never happens:

Just imagine:

'So you can\'t build the rockets in this game?'

'No, only pilot them.'

'Where\'s the navball?'

'There isn\'t one.'

'Where are my astronauts!?'

BTW: Stop making pointless, stupid threads. If you want to tell everyone absolutely everything so much, get twitter and a facebook, or whatever.

It\'s true. To me it just seemed like clicking some buttons and typing letters and numbers in. There wasn\'t much real piloting. While most of spaceflight is automatic, in the Apollo days, you still had to do a lot of navigating by the stars through a sextant manually. You also have to perform your own fine piloting etc.

Try to learn Orbiter is not easy and you learn it not in a day. You will think: I wanna stop with this. But don\'t do that, learning Orbiter takes some weeks (or even months) and its hard. But if you have learn it, then a Interplanetary travel is not hard to do.

So don\'t worry about a failure, you can always restart it from the begin :)

If KSP is über realistic.....

Really? So posting about how I downloaded orbiter in the OFF TOPIC THREAD... Seriously, if you\'re going to just complain about how pointless all the threads are, STOP LOOKING AT THEM.

It\'s tough to miss them when there are 5 on a page. And tone down the anger a little. You\'ve been posting quite a bit in the general discussion. The topics are over screenshots you made. So yeah, I\'m pretty sure some forum members are a little ticked off that they have to sift through your screenshot threads to find a real one.
