What was the Science Reward before new Career/Science sandbox mode?

Hello, I've been playing again this game since the big update, and well, I'm doing it at normal, but I'm feeling I'm not getting enough science as before. Before the beta patch, how much was the default science reward, as normal 100% or I'm missing some science because it was higher?

I don't think the value of individual experiments has changed.

Science has been slowed however, by the restrictions on early missions. You can no longer EVA when not on Kerbin until you buy a building upgrade, and you need more upgrades for soil samples, both of which were the big hitters for early science.

You also cannot build huge ships to allow Mun/Minmus landings right at the start.

In my opinion this is a big improvement, as it pushes the player to do more for with less and think about ways to get science, rather than just being handed heaps of it with no effort whatsoever.

There is more than enough science available early on normal to progress quickly, and building upgrades to allow for much greater missions are very cheap.

If you find yourself really struggling, you can always use the outsourced R&D strategy in the admin building to convert a portion of the funds you earn from contracts into science.
