Smoke blowout upon launch

I really like watching rocket launches, and one of my favorite parts is seeing the exhaust from the engine explode out of the pad right before they release the rocket. In ksp I hold the rocket to try and get a similar effect but it's not very satisfying since the smoke is rendered as 2d and goes through everything. Does anybody else feel a desire for this? If so please comment on this. And if anyone knows of a mod I would appreciate it. Thanks!

Yeah I agree that would be a nice touch. Being in beta now, I hope for more polish like this myself.

Yeah, this would be awesome. Thicker or more opaque smoke would be nice as well.

A system option to be able to see smoke after a longer distance (viewing Distance)

Also, smoke effects when landing/taking off would be nice.
