Lots of crashes at random times, modded install

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've been having lots of random crashes recently with KSP which happen at random times, usually when switching windows or switching ships. I've looked at the error info and most of them are something about mono.dll and some are for the KSP.exe itself. Sometimes it'll give the windows error notice that KSP has stopped working, but more often than not, it'll just outright CTD.

I have a whole bunch of them zipped into this file here: http://sta.sh/0mhwd1myz16

Windows 8.1 64bit

KSP 0.90

Mods:

B9 Aerospace (though the version before the one released a few days ago, should check that, just saw a couple min ago that there was an update) Edit: Now it's updated to 5.2.8, will have to see if there are crashes.

MechJeb2 2.4.2 dev build 381

Mechjeb extension for NEAR http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/60933 This was after the crashes were happening.

NEAR 1.3.1

Stock part revamp 1.6 (unless theres been an update since Dec 19th)

Hangar mod http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/88933-0-90-0-Hangar-v2-0-2 Edit: The problems seem to have started after I installed the hangar mod, but theres also an update, so it's updated as of right now, version 2.0.2

Kerbal Attachment System 0.4.10

Edit: Apparently there were a few that weren't updated. Since the problems started after I installed the hangar mod, I suspect that mod, but not sure. Have to see if crashes still happen.

Only looked through one output.log, but this kinda jumps out at ya (and is self explanatory):

"DynamicHeapAllocator out of memory - Could not get memory for large allocationCould not allocate memory: System out of memory!"

B9 on it's own will push the 32bit boundary (~3.2GB) without ATM (which isn't in your mod list).

Not sure what the RAM footprint of hangar is, but it's probably the proverbial straw...

Ah yeah, I just had a crash with the newest updates. I'll try the texture manager, although the last time I tried it, it caused problems for some reason or other. But okay, I'll give it another try.

Hope it's okay to double post, but my thread anyhow.

I had the crash again, though it took a long while before it crashed. Going to try the aggressive version of ATM tomorrow.

While it hasn't crashed in a while due to the error, I just had a crash which didn't leave a crashlog. I suspect it may have been the loads of struts maybe.
