Parachute bug?

Is anyone else having a bug where your parachutes don't show up on the staging menu even if you placed it on the craft? I can't even right click the part and get info on the part. It's like the model is there but all functionality is missing. I have gone into the .cfg for all chutes (even real-chute is affected by this) and looked at all the settings, and it all seems in check. I also did the generic "Verify integrity of game cache" on steam and still it is not working. Is there a way to fix this?

Are you using 64-bit KSP on Windows? If so, I recommend reading the first post in the Real Chute thread.

Turns out that my Ferram Aerospace was out of date and this made the control surfaces not work and parachutes not get recognized.... Thank you for the help!
