Game Starts In Odd View

Recommended Posts

Before you move this to Modded Section, I can tell you I suffered this glitch before I had mods installed

my KSP starts in an odd view of KSC where I can't click something and the Tracking Station is out of view. If I F9 to load my last quicksave I can't go into mapview or move around the spacecraft. anyone experienced this?

previously I would just reload but it won't now

I have a Duna mission about to crash

Definitely rather weird. Does quitting KSP (with Alt+F4) and reloading the save do anything at all?

If not, please post the output_log.txt file you'll find in the KSP_Data folder. Upload it to Pastebin, or Dropbox or something like that if you have an account already. :)

you'll find this is due to one of the inputlocks being stuck on, typically the Application_Focus one thats generated when you switch focus. If you can turn on the Debug Toolbar - before loading the save - there is a Show Input Locks button that will show you what lock is causing it.

Heres the previous thread regarding it - http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/100722-Game-locks-up-with-odd-view-of-space-centre

BTW. You should update KAC to the latest version :)

This was a stock bug a couple versions back, but has since been fixed. I think there is a mod that can still trigger it, but I don't recall which off hand.

So even though ypu think it's not helpful, can you still provide a list of mods?

When this bug was in stock, the only way to fix it was to exit the game, at least to the main menu if I recall, but might need to exit all the way. I'm not sure about the mod induced version. Also, in stock, it was caused by clicking through the staging list to exit the VAB.

Cheers,
