Looking for Mod to unlock action groups in career mode.

Currently you have to unlock the highest VAB building in order to get the custom action groups. Which is ridiculous, I mean they are action groups. its like making using the mouse as an unlock.

So Yeah looking for a mod to unlock action groups in career mode.

Squad made it unmoddable. Ask them to make it moddable.

While NathanKell is correct in that the action groups are locked out by the stock game, I will point out that my Action Groups Extended mod (link in sig) allows the use of action groups at the beginning of a career game.

Note that by default AGX does respect the career mode lockout and you will have to enable the override in the .cfg file to use action groups at the start of a new game.

This works because to add more action groups, I had to turn AGX into an action group manager that takes over responsibility for controlling action groups, and so it functions in place of the stock action group manager to make this work during early career mode.

Oh goody! Did not realize that (I really should use AGX, but I have enough trouble keeping my own mods up and working... :] ).

It does not enable the action editor mode of the VAB/SPH, however, which is an issue for mods like RealFuels or RealChute which use it.

Actually, it should.

Click on the AGX button on the toolbar and it goes to the action group editor screen to allow AGX to edit actions.

AGX also only displays when in action group editor mode as it only functions in that mode so any other mods that only display on the action group editor screen should display also.

Even at the start of a new game, that screen still exists in the editor, Squad simply hides the button that takes you to it and AGX offers another way to get there.

(Remember to enable the override with the .cfg edit if you try this.)
