Question about overriding public properties through config.

Recommended Posts

As I am just looking at the class definition for the dockingNode.

I want to ask, as I have never been sure, is it possible to override those properties in the config file (Mainly the acquire force and stuff)?

Also, how may I see the default values these are assigned?

Sorry if this is a really dumb or basic question.

As they're KSP fields, just put entries for the values you want to override in the config section for that module. They'll be given a default value in the code, but config values over write those when the part is loaded.

For default values, that would need some plugin trickery, though: find the module in the part, spit the values out for those variables to the log or whatever.

You come to my help yet again!

Many thanks for the answer! :)
