How do you move your scientist out of the lab to EVA?

Recommended Posts

Ok Hours in lots. Got my Kerbals in the orbiting Station with a lab. Got my Mun Permanent Station ready to go. Just need to move the Scientist from the Lab to my Mun Lab. I see a nice list of everyone but the Kerbals in the Science Lab. I start screaming thinking that I left them on the ground. GO back to the pilot center and it tells me I did not forget them they are in the science lab.

Sooooo... How do I move them to the other lab??

PS am I missing something? Why do I have to eva to move my Kerbals even when they are on the same vehicle?

Thanks for the help.

science labs are not valid "crew compartments" or what the game needs to look up as "min crew to operate" There are a few mods that force crew transfer in these such science modules. AFAIK the stock science lab has a 0/2 crew support. Technically game should let you use the stock games crew transfer function on that particular part. However most science labs such as from mods dont support a native crew compartment.

Left-click on the lab door.

When you do that you will get list of crew in lab. ALT+Click on command module will alow you to transfer crew without going to EVA.

Some mode like station science or MKS/OKS will require crew for lab in it to be considered "working" state.

He wants them to go EVA. The two modules aren't docked.
