Can't turn on SAS

Recommended Posts

I will give them a read, I'm not sure what I can say, I've used all the parts from the flight control tab in the construction bay. My T key works or I wouldn't have been able to post this. Coincidentally I have noticed to matter how I build a plan in the space plane hanger, it won't take off. It goes straight forward at a speed but all WASD does is turn me slightly left and right. I'm not sure if that's just because I'm bad at building planes though, I'm more of a rocket builder.

It seemed to happene after I tried to map my X360 Controller to the flight controls - didn't work so I unmapped them. After that SAS simply will not turn on. I've tried to map it to other keys, nothing. It's been like this for months, I've been playing the science career expecting to unlock SAS but if I can't do it in Sandbox, surely something is wrong.

it's mapped for T.

I believe at some point I tried to configure an X360 controller for flight, but I couldn't get it right, so I removed all the mapped buttons and after that my SAS won't turn on at all no matter what

Sorry I posted the same thread twice, I'm assuming it has to be approved by a moderator because it didn't show up on the list of threads thus why I posted twice.

Months? Something is definitely wrong then, could be a bad settings.cfg or save file, it's hard to tell.

Check for errors in the logs when you press T (use the Alt+F2 debug log), post the output_log.txt to pastebin then link it here, try deleting the settings.cfg to reset it.

Yes, months. I've spent months doing my science carrer expecting to unlock the SAS ability to find out I should hav had it anyway. It's so god damn hard to get to and land on Mun without it.

Sorry - I thought I would try reinstalling, as I found and old version of KSP on my system (0.24) which worked fine. So I've copied my saves, uninstalled, and I'm now reinstalling. I'll keep you updated.

Updated: Works fine now.
