Too many stages in VAB/SPH and I can't see them all. What to do?

Recommended Posts

I am trying to reach the Mun, and I built a booster/main engine then a command module to get to the Mun, and then a lander that seperates, lands, and then the accent module docks with the command module for the trip home (sort of like Apollo). I've got about 9 stages, and they've gone off the screen. Once I get a lot of stages going, how can I view them all?

Put your decouplers and the engine for the next stage in the same stage, so when you fire the stage it decouples and fires the next engine, it will reduce your number of stages... 9 is crazy.

edit: that being said, it peeves me that you can't scroll the stages when they go off screen, and you can't add a new stage 0.

Er, yes you can. Mouse over the stage list and then use the scroll wheel. You can sort of add a stage 0 by adding a stage 1 and dragging it up, but a button specially for it would be nice :D

Okay thanks. I guess the problem was that I was using a touchpad which only had the basic drivers installed (new laptop). I need to get a regular mouse or update with the actual drives that allow me to scroll. Thanks.

Linux 64, laptop, razer mouse (with scrollwheel)

Okay, which linux flavour, which razer mouse? Apparently archlinux has had issues with razer mice, but it's probably a wider issue than that.

Also, seems a stupid question, but does the scroll wheel work with other applications (web browser etc)?
